Fostering Global Collaboration Networks among Educators

Abstract: We know that for our students to be successful in the modern workplace, they need the skills to connect and communicate across cultures. We sometimes forget that teachers also need to develop global collaboration skills and need support in how to build and maintain relationships across borders and cultures. In the world of high speed internet, powerful mobile devices, and social media, global collaboration has become easier now than ever, but we still need to make the connections and build networks in order to collaborate. The speaker will discuss some ways that participants at this conference can use this unique opportunity to network and implement global communicative practices.
